Ms. Ann Mary Jacob

Having graduated from B.C.M college with first rank in M.G University B.A English Examination (2009), Mrs. Ann Mary Jacob joined S.B College , Changanassery for Post Graduation in English Language and literature and secured third rank in the M.G University M.A English Examination (2011). After serving as a teacher in St.Jude’ Global School for a short period, she joined as a lecturer in GIAL and has four years of teaching experience in GIAL. She has given TOEFL training to two batches of seminarians from Bethany Ashram as part of the special English coaching programme provided by Girideepam Institutions entitled G-REC. Her area of interest is Translation Studies and has translated from Malayalam to English the preface of a text on Koodiyattam as part of the UGC aided project on the influence of Balaramabharatha in Koodiyattam done under the initiative of Dr. Namboothiri, the head of the Department of Malayalam in Baselius college, Kottayam. She has also presented papers in National and Inter collegiate seminars.

Prof. C. P. Roy

A retired professor from M.E.S college Nedumkandam. Being an active environmentalist, he was honoured with the Vanamithra award in 2010 and 2013. He was one among the four short listed personalities for the India vision Person of the year 2011 award. In compliance with the N.S.S unit of our campus, he initiated Green Girideepam project to propagate the need of preserving our nature green. A group of students from the tribal school at Kattappana, under the leadership of Mr. C.P Roy and other retired government officers are conducting a Community farming programme by name “Shanikkootam” with a motive to retain the traditional crops of Kerala. He is in charge of the college nature club and has also started a herbal garden in the campus in collaboration with the students of English department.

Mrs. Geetha Mani

After graduation from Alphonsa college, Palai, she joined the Institute of English, Trivandrum, Kerala University for Post Graduation in English. Thereafter she did B.Ed course at Mount Carmel College of teacher Education, Kottayam. Mrs. Geetha Mani worked as a teacher in Girideepam Central School for 14 years and later moved to Trivandrum and worked as the Principal of Sandeepani ICSE school for 5 years. She returned to Kottayam in 2012 and rejoined Girideepam Institute of Advanced Learning as a lecturer and continues to serve as a dedicated teacher since four years.She has given training to two batches of seminarians from Bethany Ashram as part of the special English coaching programme provided by Girideepam Institutions entitled G-REC.

Mrs. Biby Moitheen

A post graduate in English Language and Literature from C.M.S College, M.G University. She is a SET and UGC NET qualified teacher. She did Bed at Titus II,Thiruvalla. She worked as a guest lecturer in Baselius college, Kottayam for two years and in B.C.M college, Kottayam for one year. She also worked as an IELTS tutor at Stella Maris , Kottayam for three years and has been teaching in GIAL for four years. She has given training to two batches of seminarians from Bethany Ashram as part of the special English coaching programme provided by Girideepam Institutions entitled G-REC She has presented various scholarly papers in National seminars and Inter collegiate seminars. She has 5 national publications to her credit.

Dr. Ancy Elezabath John
Assistant Professor

After Graduation in B.A English Literature from St.John’ college, Anchal she pursued her M.A , M.Phil and P.hd from Gandhigram Rural University, Dindigual, Madurai. Mrs. Ancy worked at Thiajarajar school of Management, Madurai a English Lecturer, training the M.B.A students in Managerial communication and for BEC (British English Certification). Trained the B.Ed students for a year. She has three years of teaching experience. Her areas of interest include Cultural Studies, Aboriginal Literature, Research Methodology, English Language Teaching and Comparitive literature. Her research interest includes Counter Discourse on Aboriginal Literature and she has published 14 research papers in leading National and International journals. She has also presented two research papers in Conferences at National level. Besides, she has published a book on Aboriginal studies. She has been teaching here for the last two years.

Ms Merin George

She completed her graduation from BCM College, Kottayam and her Post graduation in English Language and literature from Baselius College, Kottayam. After short stints of teaching at St. Anthony's College Kottayam and Baselios Higher Secondary School Pampady, she joined GIAL in January 2017

Bijitha P .Nair

She did her graduation in English Language and Literature from Fatima Mata National College,Kollam.After her graduation she joined Baselius College Kottayam for Postgraduation in English.She is an ASAP trainee and have two publications.

Ms. Shalabha Rachel Abraham

Graduated from BCM College, Kottayam in BA English Model II, with first rank in MG University (2016) for the same. Later she joined CMS College, Kottayam (Autonomous) for her post graduation and completed MA English Language and Literature in 2018. Her areas of interest include Cultural Studies, Linguistics and Literary Theory.
